Description

1853-63 A handwritten collection pages formed by John Tolbutt for his Cape of Good Hope Collection. Containing original pictures taken from items in South African Postal museum showing plating design of the Triangulars and other curiosities. Plus two album pages identifying unknown plating flaws and positions of triangular issues (one stamp ex Maxwell Joseph), other page showing similarity in printing between Cape issues and the Newfoundland Triangular.
