Lot 66190 – Samoa group of Missionary mail (5)

1840-50s group of missionary mail with 1842 (10 May) entire to London with crisp red Paid Ship Letter Sydney date stamp of Aug 3 and doceted as arrived on Jan 7 43, 1850 entire following same route with a less clear Sydney date stamp, plus 1845 incoming entire to Upolu from Glasgow, black Sydney ship letter transit date stamp and carried privately to the island. Also with two late 1850s entires without markings, one from Henry Nisbet to his wife, written at Palauli to mission at Safotutafai, the other from his son at school in Newtown, NSW, Australia, both carried by favour.
