Mahe de la Bourdonnais Bicentenary essays, 18c. composite stamp-size essay with photographic head in black and frame printed frame in brown in a design similar to that issued but with value also in the upper corners, affixed to card (90x115mm) lettered « B » and dated « March 28th 99 »; the card with some slight soiling from the essay being pasted to the card, superb; ex De La Rue archives, Robert Marion and « Port Louis ».Catalogue ref: S.G. 136 var
