1841 (Feb 12) 1d Mulready letter sheet (A81) from Dublin to Edinburgh, neatly cancelled by a good strike of the red Maltese cross, the front showing a perfectly struck framed « MORE TO PAY » and manuscript « 2 » over « 1 Oz » then additionally franked by an 1840 1d. black horizontal pair, SD-SE, Pl. 1b., with large balanced margins all round neatly cancelled by red Crosses; a very fine and stunning usage of the penny blacks on an underpaid Mulready; cert.
