German States, Saxony – postmarks, study group of forged Saxony cancellations used on Sperati’s Saxony reproductions, on celluloid cliches generously annotated, including numeral cancellation 2 on a piece dated “6/43” with fingerprint colour trial and notes about Agfa film exposure, also composite pieces with circular date marks of Leipzig, Dresden, Plauen. A unique and spectacular assembly that documents Sperati’s modus operandi with forging the correct postmarks.
