DURING THE GAMES: 1924 (Jul 25) Envelope sent registered from the Olympic Village to Bordeaux with 1924 Olympic 25c, 30c and 50c all tied by « COLOMBES / VILLAGE OLYMPIQUE » cds with very rare « COLOMBES / OLYMPIQUES » registration label below along with « COLOMBES-VILLAGE OLYMPIQUE » s/l hs, « JEUX OLYMPIQUES MAI à JUILLET 1924 » boxed hs and reverse with « COLOMBES / OLYMPIQUE » 2-line hs, very fine, a highly attractive showpiece item sent during the Games (equestrian and yachting); ex « Zappeion » (DF Nov 1999).
