1843, 90r black, late impression, large margins, showing the « cracked plate » – « chapa quebrada » variety consisting in colourless area below the « 9 » at left within the ‘eye’, where a black flaw is located with traces of the printing ink extending to the left margin, and the frame line being broken in two places at left, cancelled by framed « PARANAGUÁ. » hs in black (Ayres 1384). The lower margin has been repaired as a result of a portion of paper missing in the area at right, still though and exceedingly scarce variety; no examples of this rarity were found in the Luis Alemany Indarte and Hugo Goeggel collections.
