Description
All World: 1840-1936 The New Ideal Album for the Postage Stamps of the World (Foreign Countries) by Stanley Gibbons. An extensive and valuable collection of all world in two attractive printed and illustrated hardbound speciality albums, both these volumes are absolutely crammed with tens of thousands of mostly mint or unused stamps, and showing a great deal of completion throughout.

Abyssinia to Jugoslavia (Vol. II) – 1858-1936 This volume contains 0ver 600 printed pages, plus some additional pages inserted in the collection by the collector. It is clear that with a vast collection of this nature it is impossible to list every important stamps present however the following are a few of the highlights contained in this volume. Austria 1931 Rotary, 1933 FIS set, 1933 WIPA ordinary and granite paper, Belgium 1919 Helmut complete set, 1932 Mercier complete set, China showing Large and Small Dragons etc., Czechoslovakia with a useful array of the 1919 ovpts, there is overall general strength in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish Colonies throughout, additionally showing airmails, postage dues, (STC SG £360’879+).

Kiautschou to Zanzibar (Vol. III) – 1858-1936 This volume contains 0ver 600 printed pages, plus some additional pages inserted in the collection by the collector. It is clear that with a vast collection of this nature it is impossible to list every important stamps present however the following are a few of the highlights contained in this volume. Liechtenstein better sets and singles, Madagascar almost complete accept the early issues, Manchuria, Mongolia, Obock good deal of completion with many early issues, strong Reunion, Shanghai Locals etc., there is overall general strength in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish Colonies throughout, plus Levant sets from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Russia, additionally showing airmails, postage dues (STC SG £266’619+).

This extensive collection is generally in fine to very fine condition, the majority of the stamps are hinged on the pages, in some case there are duplicates hinged one on top of the other, plus some pairs, blocks and minor varieties. With an assembly of this size with many 1000’s of stamps there are obviously some minor defects, plus some reprints and some possible forgeries. A wonderful collection with an excellent basis for study and expansion (10’000’s) (STC SG £627’498+).
