Lot 30638 – Naples 1860 1/2t Coat of Arms on handwritten wrapper
c1860 handwritten wrapper sent from Naples to Lanciano, franked with a ½ tornese blue ‘Trinacria’, position no. 49 of the De Angelis-Pecchi classification, four large margins cancelled twice with boxed black ‘.ANNULLATO’; to the right, red circular date stamp. The adhesive stands proud of the wrapper, a fine and rare example of this stamp not on a journal; cert. E. Diena (1989) and M. Manzoni (2023).
