France: 1854 – Montreal to Marseille via Cunard “Europa”Stampless envelope with red MONTREAL PAID, OC 21 1854 circular datestamp, showing manuscript rates 2/10s.stg. and 3/2s.cy., and oblique red PAID handstamp. Carried by Cunard “Europa” from Boston 25 Oct via Liverpool and London, struck with red Paid, then onward to Marseille with red French PD in oval on 9 Nov 1854.
