1852–57 Cartier 10d. Blue on Thin Wove – Hamilton to Scotland via Cunard

10d Cartier blue on thin wove paper, fine to large margins, tied by “16” numeral on cover from Hamilton, 7 December 1857, endorsed “Per Africa via New York”. Carried by Cunard from 9 December, with red “PKT. LETTER PAID LIVERPOOL DE 20 1857” to Glasgow (backstamp) and Dalry, Scotland (backstamp).
