1855 Stampless Entire to Buffalo
Entire with bluish FORT ERIE, U.C., JU 30 1855 circular datestamp, oblique “PAID” and “CANADA” in ribbon applied twice in the same colour, prepaid with manuscript “10” C., sent to Buffalo.
A fine and striking example of early cross-border prepayment markings, showing the consistent application of ribbon handstamps and manuscript rate.
