1852–57 3d Brown-Red Vertical Pair on Thin Wove – Montreal to New York
Vertical pair of 3d brown-red, 1st printing on thin wove (non-laid) paper, good to large margins, tied by concentric circles on wrapper from Montreal, 18 February 1854, with red curved “PAID” handstamp, addressed to New York.
A fine example of early Canadian cross-border mail using wove paper stamps
