Description

1851 3d Orange-Vermilion, Bottom Marginal Pair on Entire

3d orange-vermilion on laid paper, separated bottom sheet-marginal pair, clear to large margins on other sides, possibly from Pane A, centrally cancelled by bluish-black concentric circles on entire (missing portion of backflap) from Wardsville, MOSA, 13 April 1855, to London.

Pays the double letter rate, a fine example of early Canadian internal usage with notable marginal positioning.

Expertise: Cert. A.P.S. (1982)
