1928-46 The Philby correspondence: H. St. John Philby (father of the spy Kim Philby) was the British Government representative in the Nejd during WWI, who became the long-term advisor to HRH King Abdul Aziz. 1928 envelope from Philby’s wife. Camberley (6.9) Port Taufiq (12.9) Mecca (16.9) Jeddah (17.9), plus 1946 envelope from Mrs. Philby, posted 18.9, on the front Jeddah arr. cds. (23.9) and note by Philby « Riyadh by air 3.10.46 », a scarce pair
