Description

Post Gupta, Bengal, Samatata region, Khadga dynasty, Sri dharanarata (possibly), c. 675-700, AV dinar, 5.71 g. (20 mm). Obverse: stylized king standing, holding arrow in right hand and bow in left hand, Bhahmi Sri (?) under king’s left arm. Reverse: stylized female figure/Lakshmi standing right, pseudo letters to right, bold dotted border around. Kumar 18.9, variety B.

AU, lustrous surfaces, well-defined features.
