Gupta Empire, Srivikrama-Vikramadityah, c. mid-6th century, AV dinar, 9.41 g. (23 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type, king with stacked, delicate curls and tall face with wide cheeks, wasp waist, and stiff stance, wearing tailed tunic over pleated loin cloth and a sash with loop tied on waist, standing left, holding longbow in left hand, arrow in right, slender standard with Garuda with halo at left.. Reverse: Lakshmi seated facing with legs folded on lotus with heavy pleating in her hip cloth, holding prominent diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, Brahmi legend to right srivikrama-, dotted border around.
