King with halo and long shoulder-length curly hair wearing necklace and tunic with long tails over loin cloth and sash, standing left, holding longbow in left hand, arrow in right, tall and slender Garuda standard at left, Brahmi legend under arm, skanda, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend on reverse sriskandaguptah. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class II, variant A1. Raven, SkG/group 1.
VF-EF, well-defined features on the king, some lustre shows through. An attractive specimen of this very popular and scarce variety.
