Gupta Empire, Narasimhagupta, c. 495-530, AV dinar, 9.55 g. (21 mm). Obverse: ‘archer’ type; king standing left, sword at side, holding arrow in right hand, left hand holding bow at top; behind to left, Garuda standard; gre in Brahmi between legs; Nara in Brahmi to inner right. Reverse: Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and long-stemmed lotus left, tamgha to left, Brahmi legend to right. VF+, good details, well-centred. A rare coin in excellent state of preservation, with less that ten similar examples found on Coinarchives.Ex Chand Collection 2.5.12 Vente aux enchères
