1867–83 £5 Orange Outstanding Vertical Strip of Five, Used

An important multiple, a fresh used vertical strip of five, each stamp clearly cancelled by Chester circular date stamps (1900). A small black ink stain on the reverse between the third and fourth stamps is faintly visible from the front, noted purely for accuracy; otherwise, the multiple is in exceptionally fine condition, remarkable for a used multiple of this considerable size.

This is a superb rarity, recorded by Horsey as the third largest used multiple of this iconic high-value. A striking exhibition-quality piece, combining visual impact and rarity.
