Lot 50775 – 1854-60 Scots Locals collection of 33 1d red covers

1854-60 Scots Locals 1-frame exhibit collection of 33 1d red covers, each tied by a different type with the emphasis very much on clarity of the strike. We note fine examples of Pitt Street, Antigua Street, Old Kilpatrick (both in blue-green and in black), Elm Row (2 types), Cross, Strathblane and Onich Onich. Also (and significantly), St. Patrick Square on a 1d red imperforate 1854 cover to Tottenham (examples on the 1841 1d are scarce). Neatly written up and presented, a lovely collection.
