Description

1840 1d black pl.5 TL marginal imprimatur from the first registration sheet (before hardening) showing the plate number « 5 » in the corner and part of the margin inscription, « … ove the Cement. »; extremely large margins on the other sides; tiny pin hole under queens chignon not detracting from the magnificent appearance. A fine and highly important imprimatur of exhibition quality.
