1850 letter from Gand to Courtrai, franked with extremely rare mixed franking 1849 10c epaulette and 1850 10c médaillon (distance Gand-Courtrai >30km, port: 20 centimes), Gand 7 Dec 1850 and arrival Courtrai 8 Dec. Only five such covers with mixed franking have been recorded of which none is in perfect condition, 10c médaillon just into bottom right and 10c epaulette separated by tearing at top, slightly into design, a normal 20c franking from the same correspondence is included, certificate Calves (2014), Scheller (2024).
