1859 Britannia 1s deep bluish purple rough perf.14-16 1/2 with Perkins Bacon « CANCELLED » oval handstamp, presented by the printers to Ormond Hill (the nephew of Sir Rowland Hill) for members of his family, very fine and very rare, from pos.2 out of the block of six cancelled as such, one of which is in the Royal Collection; ex Charlton Henry and Dale-Lichtenstein (S.G. £9’000).
