1785 (November 16th) Folded entire from Dublin to Armagh with favour frank « Free M. Longfield », and dated inside « Dublin Novr. 16 1785″ and « Novr. 15 », the date of the frank altered in another hand to « 16 », intercepted by the Free Office who endorsed in black « date altered » and straight line « TREBLE POSTAGE » in red was applied, rated 1/- treble and initialled by the inspector, an important and extremely rare postal history rarity (DF No. 236). The second earliest of the 4 recorded usages of this handstamp.
