1855 4a head die III, frame die II, 4th printing, stamps closely spaced 2.5mm apart, pair on letter from Hameerpore to England, stamps cancelled by diamond of bars and tied to cover by manuscript “Paid/Eight annas”, with transit and arrivals on front and back. A very fine example of India mail with a stamp pair cut to shape, cover with some browning and signs of aging; cert. Ceremuga (2017) (S.G. £2’500 for used pair off cover).
