Description
1854 4a blue and red, 2nd printing, head die II, frame die I, used pair with very good margins (left stamp just touched at top) and stamps widely spaced with wavy line between, clearly cancelled by well-struck diamond dots, with reversed watermark variety; a very attractive pair and scarce in this condition; signed Behr (slightly showing through to front) and cert. Behr (2008) (S.G. £4’500).
