Description
1854 4a blue and red, 1st printing, head die I, frame die I, used pair with good margins but a little close on the left stamp and lightly touched in a few places, stamps widely spaced with wavy line between, clearly cancelled by diamond dots, with reversed watermark variety, some light brown spots to front; a very attractive pair and scarce in this condition; signed Behr (slightly showing through to front) and cert. Behr (2008) (S.G. £7’000 as normal).
