Description
Apam 25c orange lithographed, two examples (consignments #34 & #78-1866) with mainly large margins on entire letter to Mexico City dated March 17, 1867, tied by « Correos Apam » negative cancel (Schatzkès #24) and representing a very late usage. Faint horizontal crease. Apam was further from Mexico than the 16 leagues limit for a 13c rate, but it seemed to have had a special rate. A high quadruple 50c rate and additionally a rare combination of same values in highly contrasting shades. Réf catalogue: Scott 29
