Description
(1843) « Bull’s Eyes » 90r, Sperati’s cliché on celluloid with static cancellation, with notations “6% x 3′30 ” (exposure to light during 3 mins 30 secs and 6% of a chemical substance), dated 11/42, also with « 2éme tira » denoting a second attempt, « Agfa » indicates the brand of the celluloid used (significant for Sperati to understand which celluloid could obtain the best exposure. An exceptional example displaying hand notations from the Sperati workshop. Less than ten clichés on celluloid are recorded for all « Bull’s Eyes », of which four for the 90r; no clichés or matrices are found in the Musée de la Poste of Paris, and the B.P.A. does not mention any matrix or cliché for Brazil in its book.
