Description

1843, 60r black, intermediate impression, strip of three with predominantly large margins, being complete at top left, with each stamp showing a clearly legible strike of the framed « PENEDO » oval hs (Ayres 1393). Some small imperfections of little significance for this important multiple in an advanced collection of postmarks. Only seven « Bull’s Eyes » are believed to exist with this cancellation, with three represented in this, the largest multiple. (RHM $10’000 per single stamp).
