Lot 10071 – 1843 (Aug 2). Entire letter from Diamantina to Rio de Janeiro on the seond day of issue of the Bull’s Eyes

1843 (Aug 2). Entire letter from Diamantina to Rio de Janeiro docketed as sent on 31 July 1843 (one day before the issue of the Bull’s Eyes), apparently dispatched on on 2 August with « 2/1843/8 » in ms in upper left corner, on the second day of issue of the Bull’s Eyes, struck with neat « V.Diamantina » double oval in brown, rated « 120 » réis at upper right. Usual overall toning and edge splitting resulting in few portions of paper missing, but a very rare usage with these highly interesting dates.
