1808 (Feb 28). Cover from an unknown origin to Madrid, displaying a fine strike of “Peru” straight-line hs, forwarded via Cartagena-Havana-Cádiz. Two manuscript rates including “30r.v.” (Reales de vellón) and “55”, being most likely the latter which paid the required postage for a weight of one ounce and 14 adarmes. A very desirable dated transatlantic mail.
