Description
1916 2d black on thin wove paper, initialled in red ink, unused without gum as issued, showing variety « L » in « LONG » doubled, thin, fine and very rare, unique with this variety; cert. Gibbs (2002) (S.G. £2’500 for normal stamp).

Note: Only one sheet of 24 of these stamps were produced from plate 1. This stamp is position 19, and the « O » was typed heavily in an attempt to disguise the second « L ».
