1835 (August 13th) Folded entire sent from the village of Termonfeckin, County Louth to Castelwellan, Co.Down showing a unframed received house « No. 3 » handstamp of the sub-office Termonfeckin, with black DROGHEDA PENNY POST and CASTLEWELLAN PENNY POST alongside, the distinctive two-line italic black dimple framed Monaghan/Penny Post, an attractive usage with very fine clear strikes of all markings, the only Monaghan/Penny Post mkg we have seen, showpiece.
