Arranged by value within each of the various printings (FCP/DEX, Harrison/De La Rue, OCP/PVA etc), then by the head, paper, phosphor and cylinder types, with shades and varieties identified also. Running throughout are imperforate pairs and we note 3 1/2p 2B, 6 1/2p bright blue (2 types), 9p deep violet 2B, 10p orange brown 2b (2 types), 11 1/2p drab CB, 14p deep blue CB, 15p bright blue CB, 19p orange red, 20p bright green CB, 22p bright orange red and 22p blue, 38p rosine 2B and the 50p ochre (2 band) in vertical imperf strip of 3. Striking perf shifts also, in particular on the 2 1/2p and 3p in corner marginal blocks of 10 (the latter also seen with a large dry print), on the £1 Carrickfergus (part of a large range of these high values in gutter pairs, blocks etc) and even on the £10 issue (which is very seldom seen). With rarities and scarcer types throughout, also to be found in an album of the pre-decimal issues (equally comprehensively covered), this magnificent collection is without doubt the finest of its type we have offered.
