Germany – Saargebiet and Saar: 1880-1940 An outstanding lifetime collection rarely seen in this quality and quantity. Beautifully preserved and housed in 29 Bordeaux Lindner albums each with their matching slipcases.

The collection is presented in different sections and includes proofs and proof sheetlets, die proofs, imperforate colour proofs, overprint proofs, mint, used, blocks of four, some with sheet margins, complete sheets, gutter pairs, different types, extensive ranges of plate flaws, overprint varieties including double overprints, inverted overprints, diagonal overprints, missing overprint in pair with normal etc., postal stationery, parcel cards, postage dues, meter mail, airmails with Zeppelin Flights, first day covers, perfins, revenues, fiscals, Military Mail with Belgian, British, French, Italian and Swedish Field Forces, Propaganda cards, Registered Mail with registered newspapers wrappers and other printed matter mail, incoming mail. The collector has carefully selected hundreds of items that required certificates from well-known Saar experts including Alfred Burger, Axel Braun, Christian Geigle, Klaus Hoffmann, Dieter Leder, Christine Ney, Walter Sieger.
