Austrian-Hungarian Empire – The Norbert Gross Archive: 1915-1921 Massive archive of correspondence with well over 1000 cards, envelopes with original letters enclosed between Norbert Gross of Chernowitz and his future wife Marie Schreiber of Prague, plus other of the wealthy Jewish Community in Austro-Silesia, as Marie was such an avid writer many of the letters speak of her love of literature, art and or Music, plus a wonderful array of family photographs. The envelopes show a vast array of franked and unfranked mail with an extensive array of the different Feldpost mkgs, censored and POW mkgs, postal cards, postal stationery, Red Cross cards, registered and or express mail, also mail from Romania, amazing snapshot the lives of two young people at the start of WWI with there story being told through letters (many 100’s)
