Lot 30085 – 1896 Athens commemorative medal in gilt bronze

1896 Athens commemorative medal in gilt bronze, 28mm, by Houtopoulos, showing view of Olympic stadium on one side and other with « OLYMPIC GAMES » and laurel wreath over “776 X 1896”, looped at top, the medal was to be worn and is the first collector’s pin, some wear to the gilt and someone has added their initials in metal inside the wreath, fine and scarce.
