1840 2d blue pl.1 JI, four very good to large margins, inverted watermark variety, fresh crisp printing giving a beautiful appearance, cancelled by a light strike of a red Maltese cross, very rare variety on this the first two penny plate and in such very fine condition it is exceptionally rare; ex Duncan, (SG £6’000).
