Lot 60191 – 1856, 1/4s bright red, and 3s yellowish orange, on cover

1856, 1/4s bright red, and 3s yellowish orange, both well margined correctly paying the 3 1/4 rate on envelope to Mecklemburg Strelitz (10-20 German miles of distance), each tied by « Marlow 26/2 » two-line datestamp, also struck at right, the 1/4s with almost invisible and tiny crease in lower left corner and caused before being affixed, and the 3s with the outside tio of top right corner creased (clear of the design and in the margin only); a delightful franking; opinion Jäschke-Lantelme (2022).
