1873 (April 9) Entire sent from La Guaira to Bordeaux, via the more unusual Bremen-Paris route, although endorsed « via Southampton », with St Thomas transit dated ‘AP 28’, reaching Southampton on May 16 and Bremen May 17 (cds to reverse), with arrival to back dated ‘May 19’; slight wrinkling to edges, otherwise fine and scarce; cert.
