1932 Los Angeles 2c handpainted essay, 15×17.5cm, in blue and white with pencilled perforations, designed by Postmaster L. Vordenbaum in Randolph Field Texas in 1931, showing a discus thrower in front of the Earth with many similar features to the issued 5c, a unique and beautifully executed essay, ex Manfred Bergman.
