Lot 30440 – Winston Churchill signed photographic postcard showing a young adult Churchill

British Prime Minister 1940-45, 1951-55. Nobel Prize winner for Literature, 1953. An early signed postcard photograph showing the young Churchill seated in a half length pose behind his desk. He rests his clasped hands on the top of the desk upon which appear several papers and a fountain pen. Photograph by J. Russell & Sons. Signed (‘Winston S. Churchill’) in bold, dark fountain pen ink with his name alone to the lower white border. A crease appears in the lower right corner, only just affecting one letter of the signature, otherwise in good condition.
