1840 (Aug 27) Wrapper from Limerick, Ireland, to HAMBURG with two 1840 1d black blocks of four paying the 8d rate, tied by red MCs, endorsed « Per Packet from Hull », reverse with Limerick and Dublin ds, red « Hull Ship Letter » and « Schiffsbrief-Post / Hamburg » arrival cds, a stunning exhibition item, the only known such franking with two blocks of four Penny Blacks, one of the most famous and iconic covers of GB
