Lot 30872 – Iceland Exhibit Cancellation Collection 1873-1939

1873-1939 Beautiful Exhibit Collection on the Icelandic Cancellations and Postmarks on 59 self-made exhibit pages with mostly loose stamps but also (better) covers and (postal stat.) postcards, spanning from the 1st issue with the Grotesk & Antiqua cds over the numeral & posthorn postal agency cancellations to the more modern Maritime postmarks, generally fine to very fine quality, except a few covers the collection has been left totally intact,  an exhibit difficult to repeat in its diversity especially taking in account that Icelandic material is generally seldom seen and offered, ex Bokvaj

NOTE: the collection was awarded Bronze at Stockholmia 1974 and NORDIA 75 and Silver at FINLANDIA 1988
