ADVANCED AIRMAIL VIGNETTE COLLECTION 1900-97, The astonishing collection of Italian airmail vignettes housed in two albums, replete with rarities and including some only a-few-known to possibly unique items. Some of the outstanding items are: 1909 Brescia Curtis vignette, 1910 Bologna blue and green vignettes, 1910 Stresa with and without brown frame, 1911 Firenze series, 1911-12 Metzeler publicity for the Libya campaign (6 plus one card), three examples in respectively green, rose and beige of the 1912 Adria flight, 1913 Second Stresa flight vignette on card, 1914 Monaco vignette on card, 1917 Carlino singles and gutter pair, 1918 Naples proof, 1918 Grosetto, 1923 Second Parma flight vignette plus usage on card, 1926 Nobile with tete-beche and proofs, later years showing a great deal of completion including two extra stockbooks (one is duplication of the earlies), lot also includes three pre-printed Landmans albums more or less well furnished.
