1899 La Bourdonnais artist’s essay with cut-out head superimposed on frame in blue, value 18 cents instead of 15c, details picked out in Chinese white, amendments noted include accent on « Mahé » and head shfted to the left, dated March 28th 99 and approved 11/4, also a working Die Proof of the finished 15c in black on thin buff card. Unique.
