1904-05 Group of 6 letter-cards, 2 postcards and a cover addressed to Paris from nurse or doctor working on Hospital Train of Empress Aleksandria Feodorovna carrying wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Hospital and military cachets, TPO and cancellations of Irkutsk, Mukden, Harbin Head FPO etc. Messages (in French with English translation provided) give harrowing accounts of suffering and death of the wounded, death of colleagues from infection and speak of a cowardly and brutish commanding officer.
