1860 10k IMPERFORATE tied to small envelope by 4-ring numeral ‘1’ of Warszava alongside red VARSZAVA 26.7.(60) cds to Comtesse Dedochowska a Zaberol – a major world rarity, sign. Rachmanow & cert.Sismondo
provenance: 1926 87th Dorotheum ‘Sonderauction’ where it was the highlight at a start price of 600Sch (!!!) followed by the 2nd most expensive items at 300Sch (which were a Napoli 1860 1/2T and a Spain 1853 2R, used) and the majority of items with starts around 5Sch to 50Sch, the expert in charge at that time was Friedl, bought by Rachmanow and left untouched in his collection up to the sale of the Rachmanow auction in 2010 Vente aux enchères
